Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Woodstock, NB

Employment Level: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Ironwood is a leading innovator in the modular manufacturing industry, providing high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective building solutions. Our team is dedicated to transforming construction by offering modular structures for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team.

Reporting to the president, the Controller is responsible for all financial matters including both internal and external financial reporting, cash flow management, financing, capital allocation, analysis of results, ensuring other leaders understand results and with the CEO make decisions about priority improvement areas.

Key Responsibilities:

IMMEDIATE

·     Produce timely accurate financial reports both internal and external and help company. leaders understand the results and the places of opportunity to do better.

·     Benchmark performance against budget and similar organizations.

·     Manage cash flow-- collection of AR, timely billing, timing of invoice payment.

·     Work with leaders to prepare both operating and cash flow budgets and projections. 

·     Work with the CEO to determine the opportunities for each department to do better and help coach those department leaders to improve the results.

·     Become a fully functioning member of the executive team contributing insights into all management decisions.

·     Manage relationships with bankers, CRA, external accountants and government funding organizations.

DEVELOPMENT

·     Gradually develop a superior understanding of our financial accumulation and reporting software.

·     Ensure we are structured optimally from a tax point of view.

·     Find ways to reduce costs through the companies working together.

·     Understand and guide the leverage of the business.  Ensure we find the balance between growth and strengthening the balance sheet.

·     Learn and help the business understand various methods of financing. Help us pick the right one at the right time.

·     Stay abreast of trends and bring new ideas into the organization.

·     Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

·     Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, commerce or related field.

·     Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

·     Minimum of five years of experience in accounting, budgeting, reporting, and financial management.

·     Experience in manufacturing and cost accounting is preferred.
