We are currently seeking an Architectural Technologist to join our design team.
Reporting to the Design & Purchasing Manager, this position is responsible and accountable for the conceptual, structural, and architectural designs of modular projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Create presentation, retail & production drawings from ArchiCad and Vertex BD.
Render design ideas in the form of 3-D renderings, plans, elevations, models, and schemes using computerized programs.
Provide MEP drawings and perform collision control services.
Work with the shop floor, other Designers and Engineers to continuously improve the quality of drawings.
Document processes and procedures and drawings where needed (SOP’s).
Ability to read and understand drawings.
Export data from Vertex BD to create CAM files for factory equipment.
Provide planning services to ensure optimal use of space.
Develop design concepts, plans according to client needs.
Identify potential problems to sales related to design, layout, and structure.
Support daily operations of the modular home factory.
Knowledge of National, Provincial, and State (ME/NH) building Codes.
Qualifications:
College diploma or University degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
2+ years of experience in design and construction.
Knowledge of BIM/CAD drafting techniques.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to effectively communicate across various departments.
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently without regular supervision.
Attention to detail.
Data analytics skills and experience.
Willingness to try new things and assume additional responsibilities.
Organizational, planning, and documentation skills.
Must possess the ability to multitask, ensuring accuracy and completion for each task.
