Our team is dedicated to transforming construction by offering modular structures for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. We are currently seeking an experienced and self-driven Project Manager to lead our onsite construction projects.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building codes and construction standards, along with the ability to manage onsite crews and projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Coordinate all phases of the construction project (foundation, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, inspections, etc.), ensuring the timeline and quality standards are met.

  • Apply for and obtain all necessary building permits for onsite projects. Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Act as the primary point of contact with local authorities to facilitate inspections and approvals.

  • Lead, manage, and direct onsite construction crews. Ensure that construction workers are properly trained, equipped, and adhere to safety standards. Monitor work progress, resolve issues, and provide guidance to ensure efficiency and quality.

  • Monitor project expenses, ensuring the project remains within budget.

  • Consult with our Purchasing Department to request necessary onsite materials and resources in a timely manner, ensuring cost-efficiency.

  • Monitor the quality of work performed on-site, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications.

  • Regularly communicate with contractors, and subcontractors to provide project updates and resolve issues.

  • Maintain a transparent and proactive approach to managing client expectations and timelines.

  • Prepare and present reports to upper management or stakeholders on project progress.

  • Be willing to travel up to 100 km from our Woodstock facility, using a company vehicle.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years post-secondary or equivalent work experience in the field of Project Management with a proven record of managing construction crews and meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.

  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to manage and motivate teams.

  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while focusing on optimizing processes and reducing costs.

  • Must be able to work on-site and physically manage the demands of a construction environment.

  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.

  • Experience in modular or prefabricated construction manufacturing is considered an asset but not required.
