Production Manager – Modular Manufacturing

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimize our manufacturing processes.
Position Overview:
The Production Manager will be responsible for the daily management and coordination of all production activities in our modular manufacturing facility. This role will focus on driving production efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and meeting project timelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, procurement, and quality control, to ensure seamless operations and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the production process, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely.
Ensure that production complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Monitor safety programs and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery of modular units while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Monitor the performance of production teams, providing leadership, training, and guidance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with quality control processes.
Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure the production process is aligned with technical specifications and project requirements.
Ensure that all tools are properly maintained to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of workers.
Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce waste.
Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, production workers, and technicians, ensuring clear communication and a strong team dynamic.
Coordinate with quality control to ensure that all products meet the company's high standards for safety, durability, and performance.
Assist with the hiring process.
Follow tasks through to completion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in production management role, preferably in modular construction, prefabrication, or manufacturing industries.
Strong knowledge of production management principles, lean manufacturing practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient in production management software (ERP/MRP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing processes and reducing costs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in modular or prefabricated construction manufacturing.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
Six Sigma Certification.
