Ironwood Manufactured Homes is a leading innovator in the modular manufacturing industry, providing high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective building solutions. Our team is dedicated to transforming construction by offering modular structures for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the President, this position is responsible and accountable for sourcing raw materials, goods and services as well as managing vendors. The Purchasing Manager develops strategic procurement activities across multiple categories in search of better deals and more profitable suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop, lead, and execute procurement strategies. 

·        Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve procurement effectiveness. 

·        Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.

·        Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.

·        Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.

·        Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve purchasing power.

·        Implement change and develop new processes to better procure goods and services.

·        Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain best price and service.

·        Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, inventory controls and processes.

·        Develop supplier database and establish annual purchasing contracts for lower value, high value items.

Qualifications

·        A college diploma or University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

·        5+ years of experience in purchasing.

·        Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to effectively communicate across various departments.

·        Self-motivated, passionate, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough.

·        A versatile, self-starter with a positive attitude

·        Experience using an ERP system.

·        Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and applications.

·        English language proficiency
